This is the first of a fanciful series entitled "Hungarian Rhapsody" illustrating Hungarian folk themes, a whimsical nod to my own Hungarian roots, expressed as musical works. Hungarians are famous for their beautiful colorful embroideries using flower themes and bright colors, lots of red and black. Our "squeaky" eyes (my term for my own & this baby's narrow, slanted eyes) no doubt come from a Mongol invasion in the 13th century.
